Descriptive Summary
A Financial Data Management Manager is responsible for overseeing a company’s data systems to ensure it maintains up-to-date, organized information about ILG’s procedures. Their duties include leading a team of data professionals to complete all tasks related to pricing and pricing data, leading Material related projects, collaboratively work with cross-functional teams to resolve any system related issues to ensure operational efficacies.
Essential Functions
- Developing and implementing all Operational procedures and protocols for data management
- Creating protocols for the retrieval and analysis of ongoing system data
- Troubleshooting any data-related problems
- Overseeing and managing a team in the day-to-day use of data systems
- Being a liaison between FDM and cross-functional teams
- Create an efficient data management schedule in line with field support activity
- Responsible for employee engagement (Hiring, training, project prioritization, employee reviews, etc.)
- Develop dashboards, analysis and reporting to be utilized cross functionally to understand business performance
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed
- Synthesize and routinize extracting and summarizing results from large datasets
- Responsible for developing and executing tools to monitor and report on data quality
- Responsible for establishing appreciation and adherence to the principles of data quality management, including metadata, lineage, and business definitions
- Provide support to cross-functional teams in managing data mechanisms and access governance
Education & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Management or similarly related education required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required
- Managerial experience is required
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
- Strong math and analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully
- Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies
- Interpersonal and customer service skills are required when meeting with and interviewing potential clients
- Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software
- Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed
- Experience working with private and sensitive personal information
- Able to compile and organize statistical information retrieved and present findings to management
- Proficient in working with very large databases for business analysis
- Proven spreadsheet and data retrieval skills
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
Preferred
- 5+ years of Data/Financial Analysis experience preferred
- SAP knowledge is a plus
- Flooring or construction industry experience preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
