Job Description

Construction/Custom Cabinet Estimator Coordinator is a technical position that is responsible for generating custom 2020 layouts and elevations, detailed parts lists with itemized material descriptions, product quantities and pricing from owner or contractor furnished plans. The Estimator must be proficient in the estimating tools and procedures to generate appropriate cabinet layouts and take-offs using job drawings/blueprints and specifications.

Primary Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Determine cabinet design and take-off quantities for multiple cabinet providers in each area of a project as defined by job specifications and floor plans
  • Validate standard and optional selection types and quantities generated by designers or design systems prior to material purchase
  • Generate cost estimates for material in response to custom design requests for projects that the Home Design Systems are unable to support
  • Work with the sales, production and design teams to ensure that the final selections and sales orders are complete and valid prior to order
  • Identify efficiencies in designs, bid processes, product offerings and sales orders that can generate cost savings.

Education and Experience

  • 2020 Interior Design software
  • Reading blueprints, floor plans and cabinet layouts
  • Working with PDF drawings
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Must pass work eligibility requirements.
